The BDCC –Basque District of Culture and Creativity–is the space that enables, develops, and helps the cultural and creative industries in the Basque Country by promoting competitiveness and the economic strengthening of the sector. The BDCC accompanies companies and professionals in their projects of creation, professionalization, innovation, internationalization, financing, growth or competitive.

The BDCC was created in 2021 and since then has not stopped working with the aim of supporting companies in the
cultural and creative sector, mainly in the Basque Country, Spain. For the BDCC, the training of the cultural and creative
sector is key to promote the competitiveness and economic strengthening of the CCIs. The BCDD has two training
programs:

  • Consolidation program, which supports ICCs in their business projects through training and subsequent tutored and
personalized accompaniment. The objective is the consolidation of a business project according to the needs of each
company (internationalization, digitalization, innovation, new business model, new services or products, etc.). In this
program, Artificial Intelligence is one of the training blocks.
  • BDCC Thursdays. Events open to all companies in the sector on specific topics that have been identified as a need by the
sector (market growth, intellectual property, networking, Artificial Intelligence, etc.). Practical experiences, real cases of
implementation and knowledge of different experts (at territorial, national or international level) are presented. Also, one of
the objectives of this conference is networking between different companies from different sub-sectors of the CCIs. In 2023, one of these BDCC Thursday was related to the Artificial Intelligence in the Cultural and Creative Industries.
